Self-Advocacy Workshop
Helping participants build confidence, communicate needs, ask for support, and understand their voice matters.
Speak Up With Confidence
Self-advocacy is the ability to understand your needs, communicate them clearly, and ask for support when needed.
In this hands-on workshop, participants practice real-life self-advocacy skills through simple scenarios, guided discussion, creative prompts, and supportive activities. The goal is to help participants feel more confident speaking up at home, school, work, programs, and in the community.
This is not about being perfect or loud. It is about helping each person recognize that their voice, needs, and choices matter.

Why Self-Advocacy Matters
Self-advocacy is a life skill.
Many people with disabilities are taught to follow directions, but they also need opportunities to practice speaking up, asking questions, making choices, and explaining what support they need.
This workshop gives participants a safe space to practice those skills before they need them in the real world.
Confidence grows when people are given the tools to use their voice.
